Soma withdrawl

The stones were struck with great noise to frighten away evil spirits. At least in the rituals later, the holes were drilled to improve the sound. The stones were placed cowhide (TCCA), which acted as a container for the juice.

Soma pure, unadulterated, called Sukra or dirty, offered to Vayu and Indra. Pfitapa-and Shukra (RV 8.46.26), both drinkers pure sense. Vayu soma withdrawl and Indra are jointly called sucipaRV (7.91.4).
